Creativity To Inspire And Imagine

You do not need to be a writer or artist or be in any creative field to be creative. Each one of us have creativity hidden in all our mental crevices.

I have often heard my friends and close acquaintances tell me how they want to be creative, how they are not clever enough, or how their brains are not wired for creativity. So many such statements float around in the Universe, and we all get attracted to negative words first. Right? I am sure most of you will resonate with this.

So how do you define creativity? Creativity is subjective and different for all. For some, it can be words, and some can be sketches, singing, dancing, photography, or even graffiti. It is a release of energy in a constructive manner using various tools and mediums. Creativity helps break the same old mundane routines – a break from doing ordinary chores.

According to the dictionary, “Creativity is the ability to make or otherwise bring into existence something new, whether a new solution to a problem, a new method or device, or a new artistic object or form.”

In modern terminology, there is a term called “Creative Explorers.” They are those who can invent and invent original ideas. Are you one? What is your definition of creativity? What do you think makes your creative juices flow? Do mention it in the comment section.

In my early days, creativity came in writing and doodling (drawing and scribbling). Between classes in school and while attending boring lectures in college, I have often dawdled and scribbled designs. Old textbooks were filled with Warli décor (my favourite tribal art). Doodling gave me ideas to study concepts, ideate for a new project and help friends in their romantic adventures (I shall come to that later) too.

  1. Nature Walks
Mother Nature can be highly inspiring. Flora and fauna, insects, and all elements of nature can give you many ideas if you look closely at each. The designs, contours, colours, texture, and sounds can evoke you to create the best creations.
  2. Music
At times, you listen to a particular music piece in your playlist, and it will make you freeze in your tracks and make you think. So keep your journal and pen handy. Jot down the first word or concept that comes to your mind.
  3. Crossword Puzzles
If you have been stuck while writing a novel or trying to fit a piece in a jigsaw puzzle, solving the mystery of a missing object, weaving threads of a relationship, or healing a part of your unresolved traumas, sit down with a crossword puzzle. While solving the crossword, you might stimulate your brain and think of something you never thought of before.
  4. Dance
If you are a kinaesthetic personality who loves to move around and think or do things, dance may activate your brain and help you solve problems. So many a time, we get saturated thinking in one spot. Dance movements will help re-center your body and mind, making you come up with out-of-the-box solutions.
  5. Painting
Colours have a beautiful effect on humans. You can develop mindfulness and concentration, solve problems efficiently, act as a stress buster, and connect with yourself more. Painting is akin to connecting with one’s inner self since you spend much time filling a canvas with drawings and colours. They say an artwork reflects an artist’s soul on the canvas.
  6. Graffiti
It has become of the best mediums to express one’s thoughts and opinions. Apart from being a hobby, it is being explored professionally by people in ad and digital marketing companies for social media campaigns. It gives people a sense of individuality and uniqueness, helps them come up with offbeat ideas for doing social projects, connects with the masses easily during campaigns, and helps boost self-esteem. Caution is to do graffiti on old walls, unused warehouses, old structures in cities, and legally designated public spaces.
  7. Photography
A camera is a medium for a person to capture moments, people, animals, and all elements of nature. A photographer’s pictures reflect their soul, they say. The photographs captured show how they want to express their thoughts. Each frame has a part of them frozen with other elements in the picture.
  8. Cooking
I know many friends who enter the kitchen to get inspired. They say food inspires and stimulates their imagination. It kicks up their creative abilities when they try a new recipe in the kitchen. Baking, grilling, or cooking something completely new even helps solve a lot of unresolved doubts in their mind. It is also a beautiful art form.
  9. Do-It-Yourself (DIY)Art
If you are into making handmade things for yourself, the house, or your loved ones, then DIY is for you. Try making things from scratch, and the excitement that gets fired up to create something different will bring out all your creative juices. Of course, it can be just picking out raw materials for your DIY craft, but it will stimulate all your senses.
  10. App Designing & Video Games
Both these are the current trend among teens and Gen Alpha. It is one of the biggest stressbusters from studies and usual routines. There are dozens of video tutorials to guide you to do the same. You can learn a new skill too and, in the long run, help your friends create and design apps, video games, and anything tech related. You need not be a tech geek for this. All you need is a laptop and online tools to develop web programs. A lot of tutorial videos break tech concepts into plain non-specialist language.

So, what are you waiting for? Get creative, and make your creations this summer!

Happiness Is A Choice

“Most people are about as happy as they make up their minds to be,” said Abe Lincoln. But can one choose to be happy? Yes! Many happy people understand that happiness is a choice and that it is up to them to select it daily deliberately.

Those who are content with their lives do not let their circumstances dictate how they feel or look for enjoyment in other people or things. They recognize that when we stop seeking the happiness that the world defines, we realize that the choice to feel pleasure has always been available to us. This perspective is further supported by positive psychology research.

10 Ways to Choose Happiness Today

Being aware that happiness is a decision is insufficient. It still takes a conscious choice to choose happiness each day to experience it fully. So how might every one of us then start to feel this joy?

1. Be thankful for all you have

Happy people focus on the positive aspects of life rather than the negative. So, first, they set their minds on specific reasons to be grateful. Then, they express it when possible. And they quickly discover there is always something to be thankful for.

2. A smile is all you need

A smile is the most beautiful thing you can wear. But there's more to it than that: research suggests that how we express our feelings with our faces directly impacts how our brains interpret them. So, in the same way, our brains may move the emotion on our fronts, and our facial expressions also influence our brains. Put another way, by making the conscious decision to flash a smile, and you can train yourself to feel happier. Furthermore, your level of happiness is virtually certain to rise as a direct result of the numerous compliments you will receive from flashing your smile.

3. Affirm yourself daily

Affirmations are positive sentiments accompanied by affirmative beliefs and statements of truth that the individual speaks. When repeated daily, affirmations can relieve stress, increase confidence, and enhance attitude. Affirmations should be selected thoughtfully, founded in reality, and talk to the requirements of the present moment for them to be as powerful as possible.

4. Keep your complaint to yourself

Don't lash out in anger at someone, something, or yourself the next time you want to. Instead, please keep it to yourself humbly. You will almost certainly diffuse an unhealthy, unhappy environment. More than that, choosing peace in a difficult situation will bring you joy.

5. One life-improving discipline should be practiced

Personal development can bring happiness and fulfillment. Knowing that you have purposefully dedicated time and energy to your personal story is one of the most satisfying feelings you will ever have. So accept and put at least one act of self-discipline into practice every day. This could be exercise, budgeting, guided learning... whatever your life requires to grow. Look for it. Put it into practice. It's a reason to rejoice.

6. Make the most of your abilities

We are born with unique talents, strengths, and skills. And when we use them correctly, we feel alive and at ease in our skin. They assist us in discovering joy in our being and happiness in our design. So, every day, embrace your strengths and work within your gifts. If you need to find this outlet outside of your job, by all means, do so.

7. Accomplish one significant task

People who choose happiness to have more control over their lives. They don't make decisions based on a desire to find happiness. Instead, they act on the satisfaction that they have already chosen. They recognize that they have time constraints, worthwhile goals to pursue, and significant contributions to make to the world around them. Choose one primary task that you can complete each day. And take pleasure in your contribution.

8. Consume a nutritious meal

We exist on three levels: spiritual, emotional, and mental. We have physical bodies as well. Our lives cannot be divided into discrete parts. As a result, one aspect always has an impact on the others. Our physical bodies, for example, will always impact our spiritual and emotional well-being. As a result, caring for our physical well-being can significantly impact our emotional well-being. Eating healthy foods is a simple way to choose happiness today. Your physical body will appreciate it, as will your emotional well-being.

9. Treat others with respect

Everyone wishes to be treated with kindness. But, deeper down, we want to be treated with the same care that we would like to be treated with. Therefore, kindness, patience, and grace should be extended to everyone you meet. The Golden Rule is a firm guideline. Of course, it is advantageous to the recipient. However, it also increases your self-satisfaction as you strive to treat others as you would like to be treated.

10. Look for the good in your Challenges

This life can be challenging. Nobody escapes without suffering. We all come across it at some point in our lives. When you do, remember that even though the trials are complex, they will pass. And look deep for meaning in pain. Choose to look for the advantages that can be discovered in your test. At the very least, endurance is being developed. And, most likely, the ability to comfort others in their suffering is also being set.

Exams How Can Parents Support Kids

Exam time in India can be an incredibly stressful time for children. The pressure to perform well on tests is immense, and with the high stakes of college admissions, the competition for university spots can be daunting. It is common for students to stay up late, cramming for exams or sacrificing sleep to study. It is also common for children to experience anxiety, depression, and stress during exam time as they are constantly worried about their results and future. This immense pressure severely impacts children’s mental health and can lead to physical health issues such as fatigue, headaches, and stomachaches. Parents, teachers, and schools must ensure that children are supported during this time and that the pressure to perform is not placed on them.

How can parents support children during exams?

  1. They can provide a quiet, comfortable studying space and ensure their child has all the necessary materials and resources.
  2. They can encourage and reassure that the child can do their best.
  3. They can help their child develop a study plan and set achievable goals.
  4. They can motivate their child to take regular breaks and eat healthy snacks.
  5. They can emphasize the importance of doing their best rather than focusing on the outcome of high marks.

Parents should not pressure Kids On Grades

  1. Focus on the Process:
Encourage your child to work hard and learn the concepts instead of focusing on the marks.
  2. Set Realistic Goals:
Don’t pressure your child to achieve impossible goals.
  3. Encourage Self-Evaluation:
Let your child assess their performance and provide guidance, rather than just judging the marks.
  4. Praise Achievements:
Praise your child for any achievements, no matter how small.
  5. Don’t Compare:
Avoid comparing your child’s performance with someone else’s.
  6. Show Support:
Provide emotional support instead of putting pressure.
  7. Don’t Place Too Much Emphasis on Marks or Grades:
Remind your child that marks are not the only measure of success.
  8. Help Create a Positive Study Environment:
Make sure your child has a quiet, organized place to study.
  9. Encourage Healthy Habits:
Ensure your child gets enough sleep, eats properly, and exercises.
  10. Make Learning Fun:
Make learning fun using games and activities.

Making exam time fun for kids can be demanding, but creative ways exist to make it a positive experience. Creating a game is one way to make studying for exams more enjoyable. Create a game board with different topics or questions related to the exam and let the kids move around the board as they answer each question. You can also keep things light by having a reward system for each correct answer. Another way to make exam time more fun is to have a study buddy system. Kids can study together and quiz each other on their learning topics. This can make learning more enjoyable and help kids retain information better. Lastly, don’t forget to make sure your kids get enough rest and stay hydrated during exam time. Eating healthy snacks and taking breaks throughout the day can help reduce stress and make studying more enjoyable.

Moving Abroad Things To Remember

Moving abroad is exciting and scary at the same time! It s a chance to establish yourself as a permanent resident of another nation, pick up a new tongue, and develop your independence. However, it also implies that you will be apart from your friends and family, live in a strange culture, and establish a brand-new society.

Whether you are relocating for work, school, or a change of scenery, it will undoubtedly be an adventure. Moving to another country is an exciting and life-changing experience that can bring new opportunities and adventures. However, it can also be a daunting and overwhelming process with various challenges. The experience of moving to a new country involves not just physical relocation but also a significant emotional and mental adjustment. It requires adapting to a new culture, language, and environment and building new relationships while leaving behind familiar ones. From practical challenges such as finding a place to live and dealing with bureaucracy to emotional difficulties such as homesickness and culture shock, moving to another country can be a complex and overwhelming process that requires careful planning and preparation.

Let’s explore why moving to another country can be overwhelming and provide tips for smoothing the transition.

1. The Process: Bureaucracy & Paperwork

It takes time to qualify as a resident of a foreign country. Be ready to deal with more paperwork than you ever imagined and become accustomed to bureaucracy. The process continues after the visa applications. There will be documentation for opening a bank account, renting an apartment, moving your possessions, getting a driver’s license, passing background checks, and possibly even enrolling in the grocery store’s loyalty rewards programs. It’s all worth it, and this too shall pass, keep in mind. Ensure you have enough passport photos (having a few more on hand is always a good idea), and welcome the formal introduction to your new land.

2. Embrace small victories

Recognize and appreciate all successes, no matter how minor. Moving to a new nation requires courage, and that grit might occasionally show in ways you wouldn’t even notice back home. Of course, it’s great when you have your first successful exchange in a foreign tongue! But so is the first time you use public transportation without using Google Maps to find your way. Or, you may attend a networking event where you know nobody—learning how to use the grocery store’s bagging system. Or the first time a stranger asks you for directions on the street, presuming you are a local. Even while there may be days when you want to cry from frustration, if you step back and celebrate all these seemingly insignificant victories, you’ll notice that they soon mount up.

3. Finding New Friends is Challenging But Possible!

If you recently moved for employment or school, your coworkers or classmates may be your immediate social circle, but if not, it’s time to expand your social circle. Even though every location has a unique social environment, you must still be out there. Through a language class, a Meet-Up gathering, a blind set-up from a friend of a friend, or perhaps a networking event sponsored by the city. Even a friendship app is an option! Slowly but surely, you will feel like you’re creating a community.

4. Don’t Forget Your Hometown & Friends

While traveling, keeping up with relationships back home might be difficult. Make Skype or WhatsApp dates. Do it regardless, even if it means getting up early on the weekend or staying late to account for time zones. Simple things, like giving handwritten cards, can make a big difference. Reclaim the lost art of the private email. It’s simple to get swept up in the thrill of your new life, but it’s crucial to make an effort to maintain ties to the past. Of course, there is also the sobering possibility that you may lose friends. Who does and who doesn’t reach out will surprise you. This is also fine, I’ve come to realize.

5. Laugh & Learn From Your Mistakes Off

Akin to living Newton’s Third Law, moving to a new country involves one tiny accomplishment followed by an equal and opposite faux pas. For a while, you’ll have a feeling that you are alone. It’s alright. There will be many misconceptions and complete translation errors. It’s alright. You’ll have to inquire about quite essential matters in ridiculous ways. It’s alright. The term “Amused and Confused,” blinking on a sign one day as I passed it, has since become my expat process motto. You are welcome to claim it as your own.

6. You will miss home

Building a life and community takes time and effort in a foreign place. It’s conceivable to feel these contradictory emotions at what seems to be the same time while utterly adoring your new life and the things it delivers. Even mundane activities like a Saturday brunch or movie nights with friends are challenging to miss, like weddings or graduations. One day I’ll feel like I’m walking on air because my Canadian life is finally coming together, and other days I’ll wish I was back home where things are simple, routine activities aren’t challenging, and I can be myself without even trying.

7. Accept the Adventure

Living abroad has the chance to alter your life. Discovering a new nation, language, cuisine, culture, and people is an opportunity! Eventually, you will feel like you belong, but it will require time, effort, and stepping outside your comfort zone. It will be inhabited. And that feeling of accomplishment will stick with you always.

Moving to another country can be an exciting adventure that opens up new possibilities and experiences. However, it also presents significant challenges that can make the transition overwhelming. Moving to another country requires careful planning and preparation, from cultural differences and language barriers to practical challenges and emotional adjustment. Despite these challenges, it is possible to overcome the difficulties and thrive in a new country with the right mindset, support system, and resources. By embracing the experience and staying resilient, one can create a fulfilling and enriching life in a new environment.

Raising A 3-Year-Old

Raising a 3-year-old can be both a rewarding and challenging experience. It is essential to set boundaries and provide consistent discipline while allowing for exploration and creativity. To nurture a healthy and happy 3-year-old, parents must create a safe, secure, and stimulating environment. It includes providing plenty of attention and love and setting clear expectations and consequences. It is important to remember that 3-year-olds are still learning and exploring the world around them. They are highly curious and need plenty of opportunities to be creative and explore their environment. It is crucial to provide them with age-appropriate toys and activities that help them develop cognitive skills and socialize with other children. Reading aloud to them and engaging them in conversation can also help them learn the language, communication, and problem-solving skills. Additionally, providing positive support and praise is essential when they demonstrate good behaviour. Connecting with your 3-year-old can help build a strong bond and foster a sense of security.

Children are developing their own sense of independence and autonomy at this age, which can lead to power struggles and stubbornness. They may also start expressing their opinions and preferences, which can sometimes clash with their parent’s expectations. These behaviours can be reminiscent of teenagers’ mood swings and defiance.

The term “threenager” is often used to describe a 3-year-old child who exhibits behaviours and attitudes similar to a teenager’s. In addition, this term is often used to describe the challenging and often unpredictable behaviour that can arise as a child reaches the age of three. The term “threenager” is primarily used as a lighthearted way to describe the challenges of parenting a young child.

How to Raise a 3-year-old?

1. Set limits and boundaries:

Establishing clear boundaries is an integral part of parenting a three-year-old. Explain why certain behaviors are expected and provide positive reinforcement when those behaviours are followed.

2. Encourage independence:

As your child grows, it’s important to foster independence. Please encourage your child to do simple tasks such as putting on their clothes, brushing their teeth, and helping with chores.

3. Provide positive reinforcement:

Positive reinforcement is a powerful tool for teaching good behaviour. Compliment your child when they do something right, and use rewards or treats to reinforce desired behaviours.

4. Spend quality time:

Spend quality time with your kid every day. Read books, play games, and engage in fun and stimulating activities.

5. Model good behaviour:

Children learn by example. Model the behaviour that you want your child to emulate, and lead by example.

6. Teach problem-solving skills:

Please help your child develop problem-solving skills by teaching them how to think things through. Then, if a problem arises, talk it out and help your child develop solutions.

7. Promote healthy habits:

Establish healthy habits such as healthy eating and regular exercise.

a gentle reminder to parents raising a 3-year-old

1. Patience is critical when raising a 3-year-old.

Take the time to listen to your child and understand their needs and wants. Children of this age group are still developing and trying to figure out their world. Showing patience and kindness can go a long way in helping your child feel safe and secure.

2. Encourage your 3-year-old to explore and express themselves.

This age is a great time to introduce activities like drawing and painting, as they can help children to express their feelings and explore their creativity. Reading is also a great way to help your child learn more about the world and explore new ideas.

3. Establish routines and rules early to help your 3-year-old learn boundaries.

Setting consistent expectations and limits can help your child feel secure and understand that they have limitations on their behaviour. Make sure to be firm but fair when enforcing these rules. Encouraging your child to practice self-control and responsibility is essential to their development.

Lastly, Always be patient with yourself. You are also learning and possibly doing this for the first time. It takes work. I have a tiny 3-year-old tornado who I love to bits. But sometimes, he can push all my buttons and test me. But I also know he is a lovely child, and I am more than happy and grateful to be his dad as much as he is my tiny tornado!

Friends With Benefits

We are and always will be social beings, and friends make everything a lot better! Friends bring more happiness in everything we do – friendships significantly impact our lives – making it all less lonesome for many of us!

Friends play a crucial role in our mental health and development – our successes, failures, and almost everything we go through! Good friends relieve stress, provide comfort and joy, and help us deal with loneliness and isolation – especially in this digitally and virtually advancing world!

Choosing the right people to be friends with who can serve as a robust support system in our lives is crucial. Friends must not be people with whom we spend only the good times but who help us deal with the worst of situations as well. We spend most of our time finding the right life partner – society also emphasizes more on the same – however, research shows that finding good friends is more important to our psychological welfare than looking for the so-called soul mate!

Friends come with many benefits – physical, mental, emotional, psychological, and more! Good friends improve our mood and help us deal with stressors in life. We just got to make sure our friends are not the stressors! This is where choosing the right people comes into play!

Good friends keen on finding us in a more prosperous place will help us reach and achieve our goals no matter how hard it may seem. A good friend can boost our energy by doing the right thing at the right time.

A good social life is ideal for our immune system, reducing isolation which is a significant factor for depression today! We all need someone to share our thoughts and ideas with – this is another benefit of a good friend. Genuine people around us are such a blessing in disguise. Investing in real people around us is as essential as investing in our finances. Friends don’t just come in handy for sharing Netflix and Amazon passwords but also for maintaining our mental and physical well-being!

No, online friends are not enough! We are all so caught up with the internet and all the different social media platforms we are exposed to. We tend to make more virtual friends than physical ones. However, virtual friends are great for liking pictures, sharing memes, and commenting on Twitter. We need to meet up, hang out, laugh, and grab a meal to feel warm and comfortable with each other. This human touch is lacking in today’s generation, draining us of values and everything possibly human. We are not connected on a deeper level but only on social media. This has to change in some way, and the only way to do so is to be kind and friendly to one another in person.

Something that we always tend to forget is that to have good friends, and we must be good friends ourselves! We must be more considerate, empathetic, good listeners, and genuinely good friends! No one is perfect, and that’s the way of the world. Finding imperfections and matching on that is what life is all about! Let’s figure out the meaning of lost friendships and renew them with the understanding of how small the world is and how short life is to live alone.

Survivors Guilt to Strength

Very few of us are accustomed to living a lone life. We have had someone/somebody to be with from the day we were born. That is why everyone looks for companionship, even if some fear commitments. It need not always be a partner; it could be a child for a single parent, a caretaker for an orphan, or a pet for an elderly person. The dynamics of the relationship vary for each individual, but it is always some person we look forward to spending our lives with. But what happens when they are no more? It takes away the will to survive and fight your battles alone. The guilt of you being able to breathe while the other person is taken away starts pounding the questions of “why me?” Survivors’ guilt is a typical response to the grieving process.

What exactly is survivor’s guilt? Survivor’s guilt is the feeling of inadequateness and guilt experienced after a loss in a traumatic situation. The situation could be a natural disaster, an accident, a medical complication, or any situation that caused the death of a loved one. As a result, the survivor starts feeling unworthy of living and continuing with their life.

As a survivor after my father’s demise, I did not have survivor guilt because I am starting my own family. Yes, I feel guilty about everything I could have done for my father when he was sick. However, my mother, at some point, could be feeling the guilt of carrying on with her life, which was earlier and for years moulded to suit the comforts of her husband.

You are bound to feel lost if you have lost both your parents, or your partner met an untimely death. To be frustrated at that loss reflects in your life. You stop believing in the miracles of God, you don’t eat the same portions of food, and you don’t feel like doing anything. It all feels meaningless because now, who are you supposed to do things for? Who do you come back home to? Whom do you hug when you feel low? Who do you goof around with? The simple and complicated questions pile on…

You feel tired, physically and emotionally drained. Your mind is desperate to get away from this all. You feel the loss in your body and soul. But who will understand it, like your loved one, which is no more? Yes, some squeeze your shoulder and say they’re here for you, but they are not the shoulder you want to lean on forever. So you start feeling lonely, even when others surround you. This is because the innate connection we develop with our parents, siblings, or partner goes so deep that it is irreplaceable. You have shaped your life through them, and the loss, whether expected or sudden, leaves you in the wind.

The guilt starts shaping up, and for some reason, we always believe that when we die, we will meet them up in heaven or down the hell hole. How are we humans conditioned to imagine forever and ever, even after death separates us? So we seep in guilt until we are hopeful to meet them again. The combination of loss with regret is overwhelming.

Compared to the lone survivors, I haven’t experienced a loss so grave. But what I have learned with my family is how we remember the dead. It gives a different perspective on how we get back to normal. Feeling guilty is not the problem. It is common. But we are not ready to acknowledge our feelings, making them difficult to process.

It is obvious to miss the departed person in your highs and lows. But why don’t we look at how they’d have been proud or comforted us had they been with us? Whatever little life we have left, why don’t we dedicate it to our happy moments together? Healing is not only about crying when you feel low but also about learning to hold back your tears and remember the happy smiles instead.

Suppose you can do it once, twice, and repeatedly. You are no more guilty about surviving. You will gradually be responsible for your survivor strength. Your role in society is now altered to fill in the gap of the person who has left. It would help if you filled in this void, not for the community, but for yourself – to hold yourself back up. I know you can.

The first step is channeling a survivor’s ‘guilt’ into the survivor’s ‘strength,’ and the rest should follow. Your parents/spouse trusts you; only you can care for yourself. And for them, you should. Death has not done us apart, and it has made you stronger.

Education In Rural India : Challenges, Opportunities, Initiatives

Education in rural India has long been a topic of concern and debate due to its critical importance in development. Rural India, which constitutes a significant portion of the population, faces unique challenges in accessing education compared to urban areas. The need for proper infrastructure, resources, and qualified teachers in rural areas has resulted in a significant disparity in the quality of education between urban and rural areas. However, various initiatives have been taken by the government, non-profit organizations, and private institutions to improve education in rural India. In this context, it is essential to understand the current state of education in rural India and the efforts being made to improve it. This essay will explore the challenges, opportunities, and initiatives in rural India, highlighting the significance of education for the development of rural communities and the nation.

Familiarity with the local culture and rapport with the students is essential when educators educate in rural India. Flexibility and creativity are crucial since rural areas often lack necessary resources like textbooks, technology, and other materials. In addition, it is required to engage the community and involve them in the educational process. Using culturally relevant activities for the students is also essential, as this can make the learning process more meaningful and enjoyable. Finally, valuing the students’ voices and incorporating their perspectives into the learning process is elementary.

Challenges

  1. Lack of Infrastructure:
One of the biggest challenges in rural education is the need for proper infrastructure, such as schools, classrooms, libraries, and computer labs. Many schools in rural areas need more basic amenities like electricity, water supply, and sanitation facilities.
  2. Inadequate Resources:
In addition to infrastructure, rural schools often lack resources such as textbooks, teaching aids, and technology, which are essential for quality education. This limits the scope of learning and reduces the quality of education.
  3. Shortage of Qualified Teachers:
Rural areas often need more qualified teachers, especially in mathematics, science, and English. This leads to a lack of quality education, which affects future students’ employability.
  4. Cultural and Social Barriers:
Many cultural and social barriers prevent children, especially girls, from attending school. Common reasons include early marriage, gender discrimination, menstruation myths, and poverty.

Opportunities

There has been a significant increase in literacy rates in rural India in recent years, which has led to a growing interest in education among rural communities.

The Allyship

In 2023, we are celebrating other women on International Women’s Day. The need for an allyship. Well, it is meaningful and has to be done. Let us promote a sense of solidarity and unity among women this year. It’s an opportunity to recognize the achievements and contributions of women in all walks of life, be it business, politics, science, arts, tech, homemaking, and social activism. Let us celebrate, inspire and empower each other to continue breaking barriers and achieving our goals.

Celebrating other women is a way to raise awareness about women’s issues and challenges, including gender inequality, discrimination, and violence. It’s a reminder for us to remember there is still work to be done to create a more equitable and just society for women.

Celebrating other women can also help combat the negative stereotypes and biases often associated with women. By highlighting the accomplishments of women, we can challenge these stereotypes and show that women can achieve great things. Honouring other women is a way to express gratitude for the women who have paved the way and made it possible for us to be where we are today. It’s a reminder that we stand on the shoulders of those who came before us, and that we are responsible for continuing the fight for gender equality for future generations.

The fight for gender equality has been an ongoing battle for centuries. While some progress has been made, there is still a long way to go, particularly for women. One of the most effective ways to push for change is by women being allies to each other.

Women supporting women means listening to each other, amplifying each other’s voices, and working together to create a more equitable society. Women can achieve a more significant impact and make positive changes when they stand together. It is particularly important in male-dominated industries where women are often underrepresented and undervalued.

Five Recommendations To become allies
& promote gender equality

Unfortunately, there is a tendency for women to compete with each other, particularly in the workplace. Instead of working together, women often feel they need to outperform each other to succeed. This mindset only serves to perpetuate the patriarchy and prevent progress.

1. Listen and learn

One of the most crucial fact women can do is listen to other women’s experiences and learn from them. It includes understanding the intersectionality of different women’s experiences based on aspects such as race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, and socio-economic background.

2. Amplify other women’s voices

Women can use their platforms to amplify the voices of other women, particularly those who are underrepresented. It can include sharing their work, promoting their achievements, and advocating for their ideas.

3. Mentor and empower other women

Women can mentor and empower other women by sharing their knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition, it can help build a strong female leader pipeline and create a more supportive and inclusive workplace.

4. Call out sexism and misogyny

Women can use their voices to call out sexism and misogyny wherever and whenever they see it. It can include speaking up in meetings, reporting incidents of harassment, and advocating for policy changes that promote gender equality.

5. Support policies and legislation that promote gender equality

Women can support policies and legislation that promote gender equality, such as equal pay, paid parental leave, and affordable childcare. It can help to create a more equitable society for all women.

By taking these measures, women can become powerful allies to each other and promote gender equality in their personal and professional lives.

Women need to recognize that they are not each other’s competition. By supporting each other, they can create a more positive and supportive environment where all women can thrive. It includes advocating for policies and legislation that promote gender equality, mentoring and empowering other women, and calling out sexism and misogyny whenever and wherever it occurs.

Eventually, women’s allyship is essential for achieving gender equality. When women work together, they can break down barriers and create a more just and equitable society for everyone.

In 2023, celebrating other women on International Women’s Day is important because it promotes solidarity, raises awareness about women’s issues, challenges negative stereotypes, expresses gratitude, and inspires and empowers women to continue making a difference.

Workcations And Top 10 Destinations India

Have you been on a working holiday? Yes, you read it right. Workcations or work combined with a holiday is the rising trend in the workforce across the globe now. Welcome to the generation of digital nomads. It is the best bonus you can ever get if you love traveling while working. All you need is your laptop, a data connection, and you!

Workcations provide an opportunity to combine work and leisure, leading to increased productivity, better work-life balance, networking opportunities, skill development, and reduced stress levels.

You can be in any part of the globe and continue to meet deadlines. However, in the last two years, businesses have also noticed rising productivity of employees despite working remotely. Remote work began during the pandemic and is continuing even now. So once various countries opened up to tourists and locals after the pandemic, some travelholics, aka travel nomads, chose this as an opportunity to travel and work. It became a double bonus because they got to work and enjoy some leisure time – a refreshing change of scenery for employees. This is one reason why many companies began switching to remote mode. Some even went hybrid (a mix of remote and working in the office) because they found work productivity improving and conserving office resources.

So, are you a travelholic? You heard that word right—a term for people who love traveling and take off whenever time permits. If you are a travelholic, you will always have a browser window showing maps and new locations on your laptop. Another window will also show searches for a cheap flight and train tickets. After being holed up at home for almost two years during the pandemic, tourism has revived in most parts of the country.

Workplaces have opened up, and bosses slowly recall their employees in hybrid mode. Thanks to the hybrid work model, people can work from anywhere. This has spelled good news for all travelholics. They can now pick their favourite destinations and work from anywhere with a decent internet connection and a laptop. Deadlines can be the same except for a change in scenery.

Gone are when people needed to report daily to their bosses in person. People can now pick co-working spaces or go on a holiday and still work in leisure. As long as deadlines and productivity are met, you can travel anywhere.

tips for those who want to try a Workcation

1. Early Travel Planning
Plan well in advance. When you pack your bags and move to a different location, especially for work, you must also have a working map. For instance, planning the work, scheduling realistic deadlines according to the time you stay there, and planning a pleasurable time off work. In addition, do enough research on the place you go to. Preferably go to a familiar location where you already have been earlier to save time on R&D!

2. Choose A Budget Boarding
Wherever you go, the accommodation must be comfortable. Choose service apartments (if need be) or a budget hotel (depending on your pocket and the time you intend to stay). If you need to stay longer, an internet-friendly destination must be preferred - a boarding with good Wi-Fi. Also, make sure eateries are easily accessible so that you don’t spend too much time away from work.

3. Set Precise, Realistic Work Schedules
If you are a freelancer, do make sure you set realistic deadlines for yourself. If you are working for someone, mention realistic deadlines that you can meet, including the time off work.

4. Creating A Comfortable Workspace
Once you have the working blueprint and finalize your location and accommodation, create a well-lit workspace. Then, visualize yourself in that space and accordingly set it up.

5. All Work And No play Leaves One Dull!
It is time to explore your inner self if this is a solo workcation. Even with friends, look for mini treks near your location or local cafes where you can lounge without work. Sample local cuisine, or enjoy your favorite treats if it is a familiar location.

6. Start A Self-Care Routine
Follow a new skincare or hair care routine for yourself. Pampering yourself is equally important. Since you are off the office routine, you can relax and indulge yourself. It is essential irrespective of gender!
